You don't need any qualifications or experience in nails to do this course
You can use any brand of products you choose but we do recommend you use products designed for professional use rather than DIY home kits.
This course is made up of 4 Modules. There is an e-book for each Module and demonstration videos to give you all the information you will need to complete each unit of your online theory (view sample question). Your tutor will be available via telephone between the hours of 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday or email, to help with any questions you may have. You will be given access to all of the assessment and feedback information.
This course requires 4 case studies which are as follows:
Natural Nail Prep and tip application
Acrylic overlay on tip
Infill/rebalance on tip
Removal
These can be carried out on yourself, friends or relatives, a practice hand or a combination of any of them. You will need to provide evidence of your work as follows:
VIDEO EVIDENCE - Please do a separate video for each of the above but only do one finger. This will make it quicker and easier for you to upload the videos. Please don't stress about video quality. If you can see what you're doing in the video I'm sure we will be able to.
The videos can be uploaded on your course page in your online account.

Qualification: ABT Accredited Diploma
You will receive your Diploma Certificate, usually within 3 days of completion of your final recorded practical assignment provided all work (theory and practical) meets the required standard. You will then be fully qualified and insurable in acrylic extensions!
PLEASE NOTE: Modules 1, 2, and 3 are the same for ALL courses so you only need to do these once. Even if you book another course at a later date you will not need to re-do Modules 1, 2 and 3.
ONLINE BEGINNER ACRYLIC COURSE WITHOUT KIT
Our online beginner acrylic course will provide you with manuals and demonstration videos to help you understand how to work with acrylic. The videos give you information on brush sizes, acrylic bead pick-up, cleaning and storing your brush, acrylic application, filing, infills and rebalancing the apex and removal.
If you are already qualified in acrylic but struggle with smooth application of core powders, you may find it easier to work with coloured powders which are applied in a more "painting on" technique rather than the traditional patting and pressing technique. The coloured powder is then capped with clear acrylic to create the apex and provide strength. Working with coloured powders and pre-mixed acrylic glitters also means no painting with gel polish which is a huge time saver.
