Because the actual sanitizing ingredient is usually alcohol which is very drying to the skin some manufacturers add oils to their sanitizers. These are totally unsuitable for use in the nail industry. Nail products will not adhere to oily surfaces so it is very important to only use sanitizers made specifically for the nail industry. If you can't see the ingredients on the bottle check the MSDS sheets which will give you all the information you need on the chemicals contained in the product. You can usually Google these for the specific brand or sometimes the manufacturer will have a page on their website where these are available to view or download.
